As a reminder, the International OCD Foundation’s annual conference (virtual for the first time ever) is fast approaching! The deadline to register is this upcoming Wednesday, July 29th at 9pm PST.
The first event of its kind, this virtual event has programming for everyone in the OCD community: individuals with lived experience, their family members and supporters, and the professionals who treat them. Running from Friday, July 31 through Sunday, August 2nd, this virtual event will feature 70 talks, 36 discussion groups, and 160 presenters.
DEADLINE: Last day to register is Wednesday, July 29th at 12pm EST.
The International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) is thrilled to announce that the Online OCD Keynote Speaker for next week’s virtual conference is celebrity Maria Bamford.
Maria is an incredible comedian and advocate who’s known for her work on “Lady Dynamite” and her newest stand-up special “Weakness is the Brand.”
Maria is also the recipient of the 2014 IOCDF Illumination Award. Make sure you can watch her keynote (sponsored by Peace of Mind!) when you register for the Conference at onlineocdconference.org!
Mental Health Strong is excited to announce that starting July 2020, they will be hosting an online Share and Support Group on the first Tuesday night of every month. This group will primarily be for spouses walking alongside loved one(s) with mental health and/or addiction challenge(s), and will leverage the eight steps outlined in the award-winning book Mental Health Strong that offers faith-based, practical tips and real-life examples.
This support group is peer run by a wife of an individual with diagnosed mental health disorders. This group is for you regardless of whether or not your spouse has been formally diagnosed, as long as there are mental health challenges (such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, etc.) or addictions (such as alcohol, drugs, sex, video gaming, food, spending, hoarding, etc.) that are impacting the marriage relationship.
The agenda during each meeting will be as follows:
