OCD SoCal is pleased to sponsor a number of annual programs to further our mission of spreading OCD awareness in Southern California. Please check back regularly as we are continuing to work on expanding our programming so as to reach more individuals affected by OCD!
1 Million Steps 4 OCD Walk
Each June, the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) sponsors 1 Million Steps 4 OCD walks around the country to bring together members of the local OCD communities to raise awareness, hope, and funds to the support the important programs of the IOCDF and partnering local affiliates, including OCD SoCal.
OCD SoCal is proud to partner with the IOCDF in hosting walks in San Diego, Los Angeles, and Orange County. You can learn more about the history of the 1 Million Steps 4 OCD walk and how to get involved in your local OCD SoCal walk by visiting the IOCDF website.
OCD Southern California Conference
OCD SoCal hosts an annual OCD Southern California Conference. The conference is an opportunity to learn more about OCD and its treatment, provide support for individuals with OCD and their families, and gain practical knowledge about a variety of issues that may arise with OCD and OCD-related disorders. This event is particularly designed for individuals affected by OCD and their families, however we encourage clinicians, researchers, and students interested in learning more about OCD to attend.
Our 2nd annual conference was held on March 25, 2017 in Irvine, CA and was a huge success! Over 200 people attended the event. Miss our conference? The International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) was live on Facebook video streaming keynote speakers. You can watch the keynote talks here.
Come back soon for details on our next conference!
OCD SoCal periodically offers a number of additional programs geared towards individuals with OCD, their families, and the professionals who support them. Past events have included various speaker series and virtual book clubs, and our board of directors is working hard to plan new events!
