OCD Southern California is hosting an Online OCD Conference from Saturday, November 7 – Sunday, November 8, 2026. We are welcoming attendees from anywhere! This event is both for people affected by OCD, their family members and loved ones, and clinicians. Professional CEs are being offered.
Our conference agenda includes information on the day and time of the talks, the talk titles, and the names of the panel presenters. Additionally, the agenda includes the different tracks we are offering. Remember, tracks are only a suggestion. For instance, if you are a person with OCD, but want to attend a talk in the “professionals” or “family and loved ones” track, you are more than welcome to attend any of the conference talks offered!

For professionals, we’re excited to partner with USC and OCD Training School (NBCC ACEP #7365) to offer continuing education opportunities at this year’s conference. Attendees can earn up to 8.75 continuing education credits through APA and NBCC for eligible sessions. CE acceptance and requirements vary by licensing board and jurisdiction. Psychologists, LMFTs, LPCCs, LCSWs and other mental health clinicians are responsible for checking with their individual licensing board to confirm whether APA and/or NBCC continuing education credits will meet their specific licensing requirements.

This will be OCD Southern California’s 10th conference! Join us on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, 2026, for two days of information and community focused on OCD and related disorders.
We are so pleased to announce that we have added a Young Adult track, and a Kids track to our conference this year!
An analysis of this study – which is the largest study of people with OCD to date – uncovered “striking findings” such as:
Up to 10M Americans likely live with OCD, yet only 1 in 6 receive a diagnosis.
95% of people with OCD in the U.S. do not receive the most effective treatment.
People with OCD are being failed at every step: screening, diagnosis, referral, and treatment.
We have selected five members of the OCD community who will help illustrate the white paper’s findings about the struggles people experience in receiving a proper diagnosis and finding appropriate care. We will show how shame prevents many from receiving the right care, and how certain populations are less likely to find treatment. However, despite their challenges, each of our speakers was able to find the right treatment and thrive!
Following the Keynote presentation, the conference sessions will begin. The conference is two days filled with over 56 different panel presentations led by some of the top OCD experts, researchers, psychiatrists, advocates, and people impacted by OCD. All presentations will be recorded, and you will have 60 days to access the recordings.
We also have evening activities, including community discussion groups, an “Ask the Experts” call-in show, an activity for kids as well as a Young Adult event.
We will wrap up the conference with an “Ask the Experts” Q&A panel and an opportunity drawing for prizes.

Our Super Early Bird registration is from August 1 – September 14. This is our lowest cost registration at only $20 per person for admission to this two-day event.
CE Credits

The conference fee, which includes entrance to the conference allows attendees to earn up to 8.75 continuing education credits through APA and NBCC for eligible sessions. During Super Early Bird registration, conference admission and CE registration are available for $50 total.
CE acceptance and requirements vary by licensing board and jurisdiction. You must attend live to earn CE credits. Credits cannot be obtained by watching recorded sessions after the conference ends.

DATE CHANGE! Chris Trondsen, LMFT, one of the group’s facilitators, will be at the annual International OCD Foundation conference July 9-12th in Seattle (https://iocdf.org/ocdcon). That falls on the 2nd Saturday of the month, the day we typically hold the group. Therefore, the Family and Loved Ones OCD Support Group will meet on the THIRD Saturday in July, on July 18 at 11:00 AM PT.
We will return to our regular schedule in August. Our August meeting will be held on the 2nd Saturday of the month, August 8, 2026.

This talk will focus on two topics. The first is an overview of what everyone should expect and receive when engaging in frontline OCD treatments. We will lay out a clear trajectory of what top-notch OCD treatment should look like from start to finish and how to ensure that you are receiving adequate care. The information in this presentation is relevant whether you are new to a diagnosis and starting to seek out care, or you have been in consistent OCD treatment for some time!
The second topic is identifying eight potential roadblocks you may be encountering, even if you are in the right treatment. These roadblocks include inadequate clinician pacing, meaning rushing a client into exposures prematurely and aggressively. Another is sessions turning into talk therapy with no active exposure during the treatment session. We will discuss these and six additional roadblocks we often see that lead to recurring errors in treatment and offer solutions.
The aim of this talk is to have audience members leave with a crystal-clear understanding of what proper OCD treatment looks like, solutions for common pitfalls, and increased knowledge on how one gets better from OCD treatment. This will address the age-old complaint that “OCD treatment did not work for me.”
