Save the Date: Saturday, December 10, 2022 for OCD SoCal’s First Ever In-Person Holiday Party!

OCD Southern California is celebrating the holidays with our first ever in-person holiday party! All are welcome to this free event! Join us on Saturday, December 10, 2022 for a gathering of the OCD community to talk, play, eat, and to celebrate the holiday season.

This event will be held from 4pm to 7pm PST in Costa Mesa (Orange County), California at the Costa Mesa Marriott on their outdoor patio overlooking a lake.

Further information, including an agenda of the day’s events, and instructions to follow both on our website and in our emails. Additionally, we will have activities for kids! Spend some time with members of the community you know, and make some new friends. Also, enjoy the music, the food, and the entertainment! We hope to see you there!

Reminder: The IOCDF’s Online Conference is November 4-6, 2022!

Coming up in just a few days, starting Friday, November 4th, the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) is hosting their Online OCD Conference. The conference is all weekend, going from November 4-6, 2022. This conference is for individuals with OCD, their family and loved ones, mental health professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in learning more about OCD!

The presenters are some of the top experts in the field of OCD treatment and talks also include success stories from people with OCD! There are also CEs available for mental health professionals.

In addition to talks, there are community building activities, support groups, and more.

Speakers will include many of our OCD SoCal board members, including Chris Trondsen, LMFT, APCC, Liz Trondsen, Melissa Mose LMFT, and Jennie Kuckertz PhD!

Join OCD SoCal on Sat., Oct. 15th from 11am to 1pm PST For Our Free, Virtual OCD Awareness Week 2022 Event!

We invite you to attend OCD Southern California’s free, virtual OCD Awareness Week 2022 event happening on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 11-1pm PST. Since it is virtual, anyone from anywhere can attend! Please also share this post with friends, family, or anyone interested in learning more about OCD.

If you are interested in joining the free event, please email info@ocdsocal.org to be on our mailing list and you will receive more information and the event link so you can join on 10/15.

OCD Awareness Week 2022 Is Officially Here (Sun., 10/9 – Sat., 10/15)!

It is officially OCD Awareness Week! Starting Sunday, October 9th until Saturday, October 15th, OCD Awareness Week is dedicated to spreading education and awareness about OCD and related disorders to the public. It is done in effort to help stamp out mental health stigma!

The theme for this year’s OCD Awareness Week is “The Road to Reclaiming Your Life!” Head over to https://iocdf.org/calendar/ to learn about what events are happening this week so that you can join in on the fun! Many of the events are virtual, so anyone from anywhere can join. Many of these events are led by IOCDF Advocates — individuals with OCD who are doing much better and advocate on behalf of the OCD community!
