Southern California OCD Support Groups and Group Therapy
There are multiple OCD and anxiety support groups across Southern California, as well as support groups for families and loved ones of individuals with OCD. These groups provide a safe place to start, continue, or complete your OCD recovery process for a minimal cost or for free. Los Angeles

Los Angeles (San Gabriel Valley / Pasadena) – Teen OCD In-Person Peer Led Support Group run by Beverly Stein with some meetings co-facilitated by a clinician
Los Angeles (Valencia) – OCD GOAL Support Group (for adults) by Michelle Witkin, Licensed Psychologist
Orange County (Costa Mesa) – OCD Support Groups @ The Gateway Institute. The weekly adult support group is Tuesday evenings, 6-8pm. The weekly teen and young-adult support group meets Wednesday evenings, 6-8pm. Both support groups are currently meeting via Zoom until it is safe to meet back in-person.

San Diego
San Diego – OCD Support Group @ San Diego State University Center for Understanding and Treating Anxiety
San Diego (Mid-County) – OCD Support Group @ Mesa Vista Hospital
San Diego (La Jolla) – OCD Therapy Group @ The Cognitive Therapy Institute of San Diego
San Diego – A free OCD Support Group for adults meets monthly on the first Monday of each month, from 7-8:30pm. Currently, the group is virtual on Zoom, but will be in person in the next few months (location TBD). To RSVP, email: Group4OCD@gmail.com. Person of contact is Sue Chudy, LCSW.
Family Support Groups For OCD
Free, Virtual Family and Loved One’s OCD Support Group meets every second Saturday of the month, from 11am to 1pm PST on Zoom. It is led by Chris Trondsen, LMFT, a mental health clinician with OCD, and his mom, Liz Trondsen, a parent of a son with OCD. The group features guest speakers, including families who have successful navigated OCD treatment, OCD clinicians, authors of OCD books, and more.
