Mission Statement
To increase OCD awareness and access to compassionate, evidence-based care in Southern California.
Vision
Through educational programs, events and outreach, we will foster a resilient, inclusive community of lived experience, loved ones, clinicians, researchers and local partners that promotes hope.
History
OCD SoCal, an affiliate of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), was started in 2011 to further the mission of the IOCDF in our local Southern California community. We aim to increase awareness and improve access to treatment of obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and related disorders throughout Southern California. This is done by sponsoring educational programs, connecting families with local resources, offering educational and outreach programs to schools, media and mental health professionals, and fostering a community for those affected by OCD and the professionals who treat them. By providing resources at the local level, the goal of OCD SoCal is to facilitate the wellness of people with OCD and their family members.
Areas Served
OCD SoCal is focused on serving the Southern California region, including San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Imperial, Kern, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties.
